About me

Originally a fitness instructor, personal trainer and sports development officer, I learnt to dive while travelling in 2000 and since my first breaths underwater, I decided that this was what I was destined to do! Within a year I became an Instructor and have now been teaching scuba full time in the industry for 25 years. I am passionate about the sport that has given me so many amazing experiences. Learning to Scuba dive is truly a life changing experience. I feel very lucky and privileged to have the opportunity to introduce people the wonderful sport of scuba diving.

 Origins of SMG SCUBA



SMG SCUBA was created in 2005 as a company specialising in  to offering PADI courses and experiences to schools and colleges with the highest possible standards.

SMG SCUBA spent 20 years teaching predominantly schools and colleges. Continually striving to provide fulfilling, enjoyable and above all safe experiences and courses .

In August 2013, SMG Scuba obtained a PADI Educational Facility rating at Tonbridge School Centre offering a whole range of PADI courses and experiences to members and public.

Since 2025, SMG SCUBA has moved towards bespoke SCUBA training for individuals and small groups, drawing upon 25 years of SCUBA teaching to produce tailored SCUBA training and experiences focused on individual needs of clients in order to acheive the best possible results and the most rewarding, enjoyable and above all Safe courses
